Bar Grating Fastener – Hook Screw Type U 100, M8, hot-dip galvanised

Application Area

The hook bolt Type U 100 M8 is a load-bearing fastening element for the tool-assisted, detachable fixing of bar gratings on steel substructures. The characteristic U-shaped hook wraps around the bearing bar and clamps the bar grating in a form-fit manner from below. Typical applications: walkable floor gratings, machine guard covers, shaft covers, bar grating inspection hatches.

Assembly Principle

The U-shaped hook bolt is guided from the side through the mesh of the bar grating and rests on both sides around the bearing bar web. A square nut (DIN 557) is screwed on from below and tightened. The U-shape prevents rotation and ensures optimal clamping force. Assembly without drilling in the substructure – only a spanner required.
