Product Description

The Top Part 21 is a precision-manufactured top clamp component made of steel, used as the upper component in a safety bar grating fastening system.
It is specifically designed for press-locked and press-welded gratings with a mesh pitch of 33 / 34 mm and features an integrated locking mechanism that ensures the grating connection is reliably secured against unintentional loosening.

The top part is designed to clamp one bearing bar securely. The defined clamping height of 13 mm (alternatively 12.2 mm) makes it suitable for standard grating cross-sections.

Assembly is carried out using M8 bolts. The top part is suitable for both square and hex nuts and ensures a robust, lasting bolted connection even under high mechanical loads and vibration.

Thanks to its safety locking feature, the top part is particularly suitable for use in areas with elevated safety requirements — such as platforms, walkways, maintenance areas, and industrial facilities where unauthorised or accidental loosening of the grating must be reliably prevented.

The component is manufactured to technical drawing and, thanks to its compact design, is optimally suited for use in industrial plant systems, steel and plant engineering, walkways, and maintenance and service areas.

The surface is hot-dip galvanised to DIN EN ISO 1461 and provides reliable corrosion protection even under demanding environmental conditions.

Bar grating fasteners are currently not subject to CE standards and must be used in accordance with the respective application requirements and applicable legal regulations.
