Fastening Sets

Fastening sets for bar gratings combine all necessary components in one package: top part, bottom part and fastening bolt – matched to each other, standard-compliant and supplied ready for installation. This saves procurement time and eliminates the risk of incompatible individual parts on site.

Metallfix offers fastening sets of the SET series in various bolt lengths (M8x50, M8x60, M8x70, M8x80) for different bearer profile widths. The sets comply with DIN 24537; bolts conform to DIN 933 (hex full-thread) and nuts to DIN 557 (square nut). The square nut engages in the mesh structure of the bar grating and reliably prevents co-rotation during tightening.

All sets are hot-dip galvanised to EN ISO 1461 with a zinc layer thickness of at least 85 µm – for a service life of 20 to 40 years even in outdoor environments. The specified tightening torque is 20–25 Nm for M8.
